I like the handwriting font you've used for the lullaby :) I saw some of your work in Artisan in Brissy last week, was great to see it for real after finding your blog. The birds are super cute.
That oatmeal number weirdly reminds me of those prisoners wall calendars. "toora ly oora ly addity..." Pump up the Jam ! You're not applying for the Jam Factory job then?
Bound for Botany Bay! Just came back from there. I wasn't imprisoned tho. but I can see what you mean by the prison thing! And re the Jam - no, enough on my plate for now! A residency at the Jam is on my list of things to do one of these days tho!
Toora Loora Looraa etc. as sung by Ruby Murray ... my folks had her vinyl album and I learnt to sing it from that - to my three boys. You did a good job there!
Hi Elaine. Apparently my grandmother used to hum it all the time, and when my daughter was born i found myself humming it to get her to sleep in the wee hours of the morning. Worked a treat!
I'm a ceramic artist based in Alice Springs, Australia. I make functional and non-functional objects out of porcelain. I'm obsessed by road maps, recipes, sewing patterns and handwriting. Really obsessed.

Just divine Ms Mel- you have chosen such perfect words to use as well. Clever clogs.

They are just lovely! Can I ask you what you use to draw the black on these ceramic bowls?
Thanks Evelina. The writing/drawing is a ceramic decal.
